Weblogic stop and start - problem - object does not exist error

Scenario
Client instance is opened.
Operations performed successfully.
Weblogic server restarted
Any operation from the client side now throws the error given below

This error occurs with weblogic server(10.3). This did not occur in the past when weblogic 6.1 was being used . Please let me know if there is any change in the way server instances are handled when server is started in weblogic 10.3 or if there is any work around for this problem.
