custom tags doubt

this was given in HFS as true
my doubt how can a classic tag can have a simpletag parent? it is not allowed right?

Sure it is. It's the entire reason for the TagAdapter class - it wraps the SimpleTag parent so it looks like a Tag parent. With its getAdaptee() method you get the actual SimpleTag (as a JspTag).
