I had the below queries.

1> what is a WeakHashMap ?

2> what are the differences between JVM,JDK,JRE ?

Please use a subject line which tells us what the question is about. Most posts here are asking for clarifications in Java; the exceptions being those wanting obfuscation in Java.

Read about WeakHashMap and look at the related class WeakReference.
The JVM is included in the JRE and the JRE is included in the JDK; you would do well to search for it.

As to #1, have you read the javadocs for that class? It's rather extensive. If you did, what was left unclear?

As to #2, see #18 in the Java Beginner's FAQ.

#1> I read the javadocs for WeakHashMap and WeakReference.But im not able to grasp the concept of what is explained in javadocs.It would be helpful if you could explain WeakHashMap and WeakReference with a Code Example..Please..

For example, do you know what a hash map is in general, and you just don't understand the distinction?

Do you know what is meant by the key?

Do you understand garbage collection in java, at least on a high level?
