Hi All,

I am looking at a website and want to know if it uses Ajax or not. What are the various ways of finding it out?

Thanks.

Search the source code, or use Firebug to monitor the network activity.

What should I be looking for in the source code and network activity? Should I be searching for XmlHttpRequest object and its three properties (onreadystatechange, readystate, and responsetext) in the source code?

Thanks.

Most savvy web developers will not use XMLHttpRequest directly, but will employ an Ajax-enabled library such as jQuery or Dojo.

Monitoring the network activity will give you the best view of Ajax usage.

Just search for submit() an look at the code above it.

I have no idea what that's supposed to show.
