Ajax + mozilla

Hi ,

I am facing problem while using ajax with mozilla.
I want to get the current month and year (for validation in java script).
The code I am using is :-

var currentDate=new Date();
var currentYear=currentDate.getYear();
var currentMonth=currentDate.getMonth();

In mozilla, current year is getting displayed as '109'
where as in internet Explorer I am getting the year as '2009'

Could anyone help me in knowing the reason behind this??
