Hi

I started a thread about log4j, that was moved to another section. I was not sure where to post it, so I have no probem with it moving, but the reason I posted it where I did (IDEs, Version Control and other tools ) was that the title in the other section convinced me not to post there.

The section it got moved to was "Other Java APIs", and on the main forum page, it is subtittled:
Discussion of any Sun Java APIs which don't have their own forum (yet). JavaMail, 2D, 3D and many more, including JNI!

The log4j API is not by Sun, its from Apache. So to me, it failed to met the case of being a "Sun Java API"

Perhaps we should edit the subtitle to be more inclusive? Say "Discussion of any Sun and Open Source Java APIs which...."

Just a thought.

The days of Sun defining Java are over, its been community driven for years. And I hear it will go real open source RSN.

Thanks
Pat

Pat,
That would be because I moved it to the wrong forum! I meant to move it to Other Open Source Projects. Which mentions log4j by name for what it's worth. I'll go move it properly now.
