Is it possible to create View using Hibernate

Hi,

In my application i am using Hibernate for ORM.I am done the search functionality through join,but this regrades the performance.so now i want to use view .I did the googling for this but i didn't get the too much idea.so,my query is it possible to create view using hibernate.

Hibernate's DDL generation stuff doesn't include views, so no. But you could always create it yourself. It will have to be an updatable view, unless you restrict operations other than read in your DAO layer. Not sure that a view will necesarily help prefomance though, given it will not remove the joins you believe are the source of the issue.
