Hi,

What AUP lacks when compared to RUP, being a subset of RUP?

Mourougan,

I am not sure what you mean by AUP? Can you please elaborate on the acronym and your question?

Thanks

A good practical guide to AUG can be found in Criag Larman's Applying UML and Patterns 3rd Ed. -

http://www.amazon.com/Applying-UML-Patterns-Introduction-Object-Oriented/dp/0131489062/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235127689&sr=8-1

Seems a good starting point to help Enterprise orgs to move towards agile.

Regards

Paul

Please have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agile_Unified_Process.

Not sure how accurate the information provided in this link is. That's why asked this question.

Mourougan,

Thanks for the clarification.

Unfortunately I cannot answer the question as I have never done RUP or AUP. I have read about both but I don't think that gives me the necessary experience to answer the question. There may be others on this list that can answer that question for you. I suggest you start on Scott Ambler's website http://www.ambysoft.com/unifiedprocess/agileUP.html where you can read first hand what AUP is about, and can then compare it to RUP (which I guess is what you are practicing now).

I'm not really familiar with AUP either, but I think it must have something in common with OpenUP. Agility and Discipline Made Easy: Practices from OpenUP and RUP by Kroll and MacIsaac has a pretty comprehensive explanation of OpenUP and its agile aspects.
