I was trying to learn how to send an SMS from a mobile phone, not a pc. This has been covered many times and, after a search, I opted to use the "standard" SMSSend and SMSSender. While this appears to work correctly, even acknowledging with "Sending message to " + address + "..."; the message is never received. In fact, it never leaves my phone (the service provider never charged me!). While I believe the software is correct, (I didn't write it), perhaps something has not been included or some setting, external to the software, is missing. Phone is SE K850i. Suggestions, or examples, from someone who has done this successfully would be appreciated. Thank you,

Thank you very much for your reply. It turns out that the original code I had was correct. The problem was "signing" the jad file. After I learned to do that correctly, everything worked ok.

hello sir my name is kapil kumar negi , i am a b.tech final year student, and i m preparing a project on j2me in which i want my application to read the inbox of the phone, but on the web its given that in j2me we can't access the inbox, but there are some other users who says that an application can be made to listen to a specific port , then i tried that also but the sendsms midlet is sending the sms on the port 5000 but there is no notification or alert of the incoming message when i am using any port number and when m not using the port number the message properly arrives in the inbox, and when i am using the smslistener application to notify any incoming message on a given port its showing no response , sir please check and let me know how can i solve this, i am sending you the code of both the midlets you can download them from:
