How fast is your internet connection?

I am interested to know how much ranchers pay for their internet connection around the world, and the capabilities of their line. Do you connect to the internet everyday by dialing through your modem, or stay online 24/7? Do you have a home network? What is your setup like? Do you pay per minute or a fixed amount?

I'll start:

Speed: 1Mb/256Kb (Download/Upload)
Cost: �23.44/month (equivalent to $44.13/34.14 Euros/2018 Indian Rupees)
Country: UK
Setup: ADSL Broadband (uncapped) connection on 24/7 via ADSL Router (network with 6 machines)

And yes, I'm online pretty much 24/7 (unless I plan to be away from home for more than a week or so).

My broadband cable fee is bundled with the HDTV service and HD DVR (and some so-called digital channels that look just as bad as the non-HDTV ones but I get because of the Science channel...)

But I calculate that for 4MBps download I pay around $40 or sightly less.

I don't care about the upload speed but according to DSL reports is (at the time of this writing),

which is funny since adelphia.net *IS* my broadband ISP! HA ha!

I must admit this is the slowest report so far. DSL Reports' server in Miami is down though, and that's the one closest to me BY FAR...

I'm not sure exactly what I pay, because it's included with my cable TV bill. I think it's something like $40-45 per month? Anyway, I'm happy.

My speed test results are,
upload speed:0.52 kbps
download speed:1.96 kbps
I check my speed test before and after of the downloading process!!!

Wow, this is an old topic! I guess things have changed since 2006.

At home, I have an ADSL connection that in theory should support up to 20 Mbit/s download. In practice the maximum speed is about 14 Mbit/s (about 1.7 MB/s). One of the reasons why it doesn't reach the max. speed is probably because I have quite a long telephone cable running along the wall of my living room from the socket to the desk where my computer and telephone are. I don't even know what it costs, I think around € 30 per month for telephone + Internet.

Same here in Singapore. I can get fiber services at 100mbs upload and 100mbps download for about 50US$ per month.

What I got now is cable at 100mbps download 4mbps upload at the same price.
