Hi,

I generated a client from WSDL for a Web service hosted on another network machine. However when i try to access it i get the following exception:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Could not initialize Service.
at org.codehaus.xfire.jaxws.ServiceDelegate.<init>(ServiceDelegate.java:77)
at org.codehaus.xfire.jaxws.Provider.createServiceDelegate(Provider.java:32)
at javax.xml.ws.Service.<init>(Service.java:57)
......

When i use the same proxy classes with the same service hosted locally, it works fine. Please help...

Regards.

Apparently that is a common problem.

This one even matches most of your line numbers.

So you would have to sift through all those reports and determine whether one applies to your particular situation.

OK... i've finally traced the bug.
Basically Xfire 1.2.1 jar file was placed on the same class path, on the remote machine, on which i was trying to access the web service. Once i removed it, my service started working smoothly.

Thanks for your help
