The processes of admin and managed weblogic servers are each using around 1GB of memory apart from the heap, which is 512M each. On a daily basis, the memory usage is incresing by around 60MB for the PID. Eventually going out of swap. The env is Linux 4, Weblogic 10.0 on virtual servers. Is this an env issue.

What setting in the environment would impact memory use?
Have a look at our FAQ: InvestigateOutOfMemoryError. It has pointers that may help you.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
