Sorting JTable

I want the user to be able to sort the table by clicking on the column header, which works fine...

but when my search function executes, I simply assign a new model to the table. Then my probably chosen sort column is reset and my also already chosen selected entry gets deselected.

I wonder how you you handle this scenario?

Hello Axel, if I were to do table sorting I would create a customized ColumnModel. If you use the table's default sort method, it will mess up when you do search like what you experienced.
