How to send information from one web page to another

Hi all,

I am very new to java programming. I am developing a web project using jsp.

I want to know how can i send information from one page to another for example i want to send user name and user ID from one page to another.

how to achieve this...any help very much appriciated.

Hi Josephyan,

Are you using only JSP? What about your project's server side? Servlets? Struts? POJO?

I suggest you read the Head First Servlets and JSP.

Several ways; you can either pass it as request parameters or store it in the session.

Only JSP's are not recommended, you need a better approach - the MVC architecture. We have a Journal article on this. Also there is a lot to start with in the FAQ section.
