Hello guys!

I've recently joined the forum. Very nice place!

A professor of mine said today:
- "In my opinion, JME is going to be vanished. Cel phones, smart phones, palms... this things have almost the same quantity of memory as my notebook does (laughts)."

In his opinion, mobile phones is raising its performance that a limited version of Java will not be necessary any longer. The Java desktops and notebooks runs today will be the Java mobile phone will run. No need of a limited version. No need of JME.

And that got me in doubt as I was focusing a SCMAD.

What do you people think about it? What's your opinion?

Thank you for time!

(any grammar mistake, please tell me. )

While the capabilities of mobile devies have been improving (like all other devices), catching up to JSE will remain elusive for a while, IMO, because JSE is getting bigger and bigger all the time. Note that the fairly new Android platform -while implementing more than JME- does not support the full JSE, either.
