The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development cover similar ground. Mr. Burnette covers some topics that mine does not (e.g., OpenGL). Mine covers the material in greater depth with a wider range of sample application code. For example, Mr. Burnette covers SQLite, using content providers, and creating content providers in a single 20-page chapter -- I use three chapters and about 40 pages. Of course, that could be that I'm just wordy...
