I just bought the book Hello Android (published by pragprog.com)
What does your book cover that's missing in the book just mentioned.

A fine choice. I'm sure Ed Burnette thanks you!

Hello, Android and The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development cover similar ground. Mr. Burnette covers some topics that mine does not (e.g., OpenGL). Mine covers the material in greater depth with a wider range of sample application code. For example, Mr. Burnette covers SQLite, using content providers, and creating content providers in a single 20-page chapter -- I use three chapters and about 40 pages. Of course, that could be that I'm just wordy...

The upcoming The Busy Coder's Guide to Advanced Android Development (Version 0.6 available for subscribers) will go beyond either of the introductory books, covering things like system services, remote services, system events, database packaging, unit testing, etc.

Thank you!

I also see the books as complimentary. Just get one of each and you'll be all set.

For really deep coverage of any particular topic, you're encouraged to consult the hundreds (thousands?) of pages of online documentation. Or if that fails you, the source code is there to look at.

Also the German University Student who runs anddev.org also has a nice beginning ebook set of tutorials as well.
