<load-on-startup> doubt  RSS feed

In web.xml under <servlet> tag we are having <load-on-startup> tag.
what is exact meaning of count given in this tag.

Servlet get loaded on container when the first request is coming from client. So it takes some delay for sending response to it on first request. By using <load-on-startup> tag we make loading of servlet when server get started.So it avoid delay time on first request.

I got exact meaning of value inside <load-on-startup> tag.
 
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
