I think you were whooshed there Jim. I sort of agree with your point, although it's not like English translations of quotes from movies we haven't seen are really going to be meaningful anyway. It's easier to skip past them when they're in Indian.

Now, the joke threads where a joke is set up in English and the punchline delivered in Indian are a different story.

That's true. But in the past we found that if we don't discourage non-english languages, their use tends to steadily increase, and eventually arguments and fights break out, and we have no way of knowing who is at fault. Plus most of the people in this thread are making an effort to make it inclusive of everyone in our readership; I don't want the few exceptions to start becoming too numerous.
