Hi all, I'm new to the forums, and I've been searching around and can't seem to get a good answer for the new Java 6 test. I know that the Master Exam is harder than the real exam, but how much so? Is it a significant amount or just barely? Other mock exams I've taken have been much easier, with scoring in the high 60% versus the low 40% on the master exams. It also seems that almost all the code on the master exam is just trying to trick you, and mostly doesn't compile as a correct answer. Is there another mock test for the Java 6 test that is more like the real thing?

Also, is the certification even worth getting right now as a high school senior? Or should I save my $300 until a job tells me to get it. Thanks in advance.

Well I would say that the master exam is a lot lot tougher than the real exam. Still I feel that you must clear all the three master exams before you go for the real exam if you want to get a decent score. Master Exam is the closest to the real exam in terms of format and difficulty of questions. The question on real exam also try to trick you into the wrong answer.

Well this is your personal decision. I feel that since you are in high school, you must go for it right now. That way you can later go for higher certifications from sun which require SCJP as minimum qualification. Once you get into a job, you'll get less time to prepare for SCJP as you'll have hundereds of things to study and work on...
