Hi,
I am developing a screen contains 9 categories and ecah category has 4 levels and ecah children has its sub children...

--> I have 741 stores .From every 3rd level and above I shall display the stores .

---> Am displaying in tree structure.

---> Total children i have 400 from level 3 and above . so 400 * 741,around 3 lacs records.

---> I am using Spring ,Hibernate and Custom tag.

---> If I try to display 3 lac records it is taking 30 mtns and somtimes my system is hanging . Can anyone suggest me an alternative appoach . Like can I implement AJAX??? .

----> Am planning to do so . I mean first I will display all the catigories in the tree form than ill start displaying stors in the corrosponding level .

Kindly help me ......

Regards,
Lakshmikanth.

Actually, while it's not a problem to use a localized term (lac/lakh) for local salary figures, it would be less confusing here if you just said "300K records".

I have a similar problem though not QUITE as much data. I'm using JSF and the RichFaces tree control. It provides the AJAX support I need to populate the tree on an on-demand basis.
