Works fine for me... how do you know that nothing is getting returned.

Override the toString() method for your Student class and do a println on the retrieved object.

saying "this method doesn't work" doesn't really tell us much. WHY do you think it doesn't work? What DOES it do, and what do you EXPECT it to do?

Also, folks here are happy to HELP you write your code, but nobody will do it for you.
