As per my experience payscale may vary country to country and company to company.

But still does any one know an average pay scale?

Right now I think only T-Mobile,Google having developers for Android (not sure). SUrely paysale must be very impressive in thiese companies.

But what about the overall market? abroad as well as local (I am from India).

offshoring devs is also an option for us devs it depends upon the agreement, :

per project basis - revenue sharing
or
per hour - the company pay your salary fixed!

The current president of USA "Obama" is planning to stop/reduce outsourcing also.

I think it might affect the Android developement or any other software related industry.

I don't think Obama has any control over that. The Democratic party will not stop outsourcing. They might try to restrict the money they are giving out so they stay in the USA, but most of that is going to states anyway, not private tech businesses. I am pretty sure Google won't get a bailout package.

No one can stop outsourcing
If they stop it ,how the work will get done faster as we do.
Don't worry about it.

Thanks

Okay, since this topic is during a book promotion, I'll give it some leeway. However, if this topics continues to be about outsourcing instead of Android it will be moved to Job Discussions...

Looks pretty good if you believe these folks:

http://www.odinjobs.com/Odin/marketstatcompare?id=15480&q=Android+Developer
http://www.indeed.com/salary?q1=Android+Developer&l1=

And wow, look at this:

http://www.odinjobs.com/Odin/marketstatcompare?id=15482&q=Android+vs+iPhone

Can anybody confirm these figures?
