Hi, what is difference between WebSphere Application Server Community Edition and IBM WebSphere Application Server (except that later one is trail version).
I was wondering what is the capabilities of one that another one cannot support?
Is Community Edition full J2EE application server, like the another one, or it has some disadvantages?

It's a full server, but it's the Geronimo server rather than the WebSphere server.

Ok, but application developed and tested on it, will be fully functional on WebSphere?
I mean, I can use this free version of app. server, for learning, developing and testing applications, and the same application to deploy in production on real Websphere app. server, can I? The Community Edition support all of Websphere features, does it?

Right! We're on it! Let's get to work tiny ad!
