How to specify a Transaction Timeout in a Web Application ??

If it is a EJB application transaction timeout can be specified in a xml file like this :



How do i achieve this for a Web application ??

As such we don't have any configuration within the web.xml for Transaction timeout handling.

You can do this with EJBs because some methods are meant to run under transactions. The same is not the case for a thread instance of a servlet. Servlets do not run in their own transaction.
