Hi,

The setSelctionStart & setSelectionEnd is not working when there is a long String that contain ā€œ/nā€ characters

I am not sure it will help:



its working OK with jtextarea but not with textpane

I think you need to set appropriate editor kit that would take care of Newline character.

Basically, you need to set newline character property when dealing with JTextPane.
