I'm running JBoss 4.2.3 by itself without Apache. I like Apache's feature of using .htaccess/.htpassword to setup a simple username/password authentication. Is there something similar in JBoss for a web application? I've tried adding .htaccess/.htpassword to the root of my web application although they seemed to be ignored. Any suggestions?
