Hi All,

I read in the J2EE 5 specs (EE.2.6.4):
Java EE applications are required to use the RMI-IIOP APIs, specifically the narrow method of javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject, when accessing Enterprise JavaBeans components, as described in the EJB specification.

Does-it mean that we cannot use RMI(JRMP) to access EJB ?
I used to think that the default protocol for RMI was JRMP and that, in case of wanting RMI-IIOP, it was an explicit configuration of the server...
Am I wrong ?

Thanks for your help.

Benoît

Hi vivek,

Thanks for the link.

I understand that EJB are exposed with the RMI-IIOP protocol.
It allows them to be accesible through JRMP or IIOP.
Thanks

Benoît
