I'm getting an opportunity to move to US (New Jersey, New york) with my family on a long term assignment.

My problem is, i've got a small kid of 8 months. I would like to
know, if one can get a baby sitter or are there any crush available
in jersey/ new york city who can look after an indian baby.

Also, who much they will charge me?

Regards,

Grishma

Grishma,

You can find baby sitter/ day cares in NY/New jersey area.
The one in New york city can be expensive.
If you have specific budget in mind, then I would suggest look for Home cares that is provided by Stay home Indian moms/Indian nanis.

In which area are you planning to work? If it's NY keen in mind the commute time and look for day cares that are open till 7/7.30 in the evening.(But I bet you will not prefer your little one to be in day care that long:-) )

thanks
trupti

New York you need to count 2 to 2.5 extra for travelling from NJ to NY.
I have been there but I didn't like that travelling because you will be spending 12 hours in your job. In which you are really working for 8 hours only.

I suggest you try to stay near to New York ie Jersy City or before that.
