Dan Osman is nuts.

5.7 is considered an intermediate climb... and even though I believe he is capable of climbing stuff like 5.13-14... its still a climb you can fall off of.

He's nuts.

Ouch. Kind of an insensitive comment -- a bit too close to home. I just Googled this guy and see that he died in 1998 in a rock climbing accident (or rather, while jumping off a mountain with a rope tied to his ankles, which is sort of rock unclimbing, I suppose). My apologies to anyone I may have offended.

Sounds like he never hurt anyone but himself, although apparently he was a
nuisance on any number of fronts.

The emergency medical response community I was part of was deeply divided over guys like this, who can get into situations that put rescue workers in similar risks.

I guess he died doing what he had to do.
