Hi! Just wanted to get the low-down on an "extranet". Is it basically an inTRAnet site that exposes a portion to the public(inTERnet)? Would this be the term I would use if I wanted to create an inTRAnet tool for our users, but expose similar content to the public for use as well?

Basically, we have an app that supports users who answer phone calls - a call center. The thought is to expose some of the services we offer internally to the public... Such as changing their address information. So, they could either call or access the website to make the change.

Are there any models out there for such apps? This would be designed using Java/J2EE.

Thanks,
K Robert
