Hi,

I am collecting materials needed for SECA. There is CD on san page: http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CDJ-310-EE5.xml

Should I get one? Is it good?

Thanks,
Maciej

I've never taken one of Sun's courses so I can't speak from experience, but having looked at the course outline I'm still trying to work out the difference between it and the Java EE5 Tutorial

The skills gained section looks very weak when you consider the price tag. The content of the modules also look very much like a quick skim over the various specifications, which are, of course, freely available. In addition, none of the modules even mention architectural decision making or best practice.

My advice; save yourself a heap of money and buy a core set of architecture related books - there are a number of threads on this forum related to recommended reading lists and resources.

Good luck.

Cool docs or not, they won't to be much help if they're all about development (see course title). SCEA is about architecture.
