Hi,

I am using onbeforeunload event to detect browser close. However, it works great in my code but, i want to change the default text inscribed by IE in confirm popup. Can any one tell me how to disable the text ?

This has nothing to do with JSP. There's a HTML/JS forum. Have patience and the topic will be moved.

One hint: do you have Google installed at your machine? Try it. With only 2 keywords I got the answers you need.

Oh I should add, the onbeforeunload event is an proprietary event and not specified by w3 specification. So this isn't going to work in all webbrowsers. For instance Opera which very strictly follows the w3 specification doesn't support it.

The keywords are "onbeforeunload" and "message" by the way.
