for in CSS and HTML

I am reading a series of article on using css3 form description in your CSS file. In both the CSS and HTML files I found the use of the word “for” in the markup. I am not familiar with this usage and in searching the web I can’t find the usage. Here is an example in HTML:

That's odd. I googled for "html label tag" and the first link returned was, not surprisingly, the w3schools page:

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_label.asp

which does tell you what the "for" attribute is, um, for.

And, the usage in your example is incorrect. The for value should reference the id of the labeled element, not the name.
