Guys,

Let's suppose that I have a simple int entry in my DD element to be injected through the @Resource annotation. I set it to a value of 10. Now my app is deployed in the EJB container. Later I decide to change the value to 20. Do I need a restart of my container for my injection to see the new value?

You mean you want to change the value to 20 through the deployment descriptor. So yes, you will have to redeploy the application or restart the server. Remember, those are "deployment time" values and are read during deployment.
