Hi...

I need to self sign a MIDlet and install it on S60 3rd edition platform. My requirement arose mainly because of permission rights. I don't want my phone to ask for RecordControl permission every time when the MIDlet records the voice.

I have included RecordControl permission while building the app, but it does not work. From various posts I got to know that I need to sign the MIDlet to overcome this problem. I have created a p7b certificate using OpenSSL and I have signed the JAD file by this certificate, I have also saved the root certificate in my mobile phone (Nokia E51). However, all this efforts went into vain on S60 3rd edition platform.

Please guide me what to do!!!

Thanks in advance,
Robin
