Hello,

I am working on a webapp and want to show a price properly formatted on screen.

My solution is the following:

I get different results when deploying this on 2 different servers.

The first one gives me: "EUR 3.56"
The second one gives me: "EUR3.56"

The first result is fine, sadly enough the second one is the server that really matters.

It's not so hard to find a way around this("EUR " + 3.56), but can anyone tell me why this is happening ?

You're probably using different Java versions on the servers. Which Java versions are you using?

"EUR35.65" --> 1.5.0_16-b02
"EUR 35.65" --> 1.6.0_12-b04

I guess I could update java, but to be honest I don't feel like risking it,
