Scjp Faq answers most of the questions regarding the exam. I would say go for the latest. And yes the book you are having is more than enough . Good luck for the preparations.

SCJP 5 and SCJP 6 Both are the same.

In SCJP 6 only added NavigableMap, NavigableSet and java.io.Console

Better is go for SCJP 6

If you have the book for SCJP 5, then it is not necessary to buy the book for SCJP 6. Just use the SCJP 5 book, that will get you 95% of the way there; learn about the new topics from the API documentation and from other sources.

You have a good Book. That is sufficient.
Try to understand the concepts. If you have any questions, you know where to post your questions

Once you are done with the book, practice as much mock exams as you can.

East or West, Latest is best.
Please go for SCJP 1.6 without any hesitation
