Hi ranchers,

I've bought the good SCJD book from the authors Monkhouse and Camerlengo, but I find it quite challenging, expecially in the RMI chapter.

Don't get me wrong, the authors have done a good job, only I need some of the concepts to be more explained, with practicle examples of growing difficulty.

What can I read so that I can better digest the topics in the book, and become a good preparation for the SCJD exam ?

I mean, by SCJP was RMI not mentioned at all, that's why I'm new on this topic. And I am a 'learn-by-doing' kind of person, so I need some article/book/tutorial that integrate the theory with good code example, ready to run, and easy to understand.

Thanks for your help,
Sergio.

The RMI tutorial will be a good start to get more examples and info about RMI.

Apart from RMI you may want to brush up on Swing and Threads.
