Multiplayer game

I m in a process of developing a multi player Tic Tac Toe which can be played by many players across the network. Currently i have developed a standalone game and i want to go about converting this into multiplayer.

I have gui and everything with me. But i dont know how do start. I tried googling but i couldnt find any resource that explained how to develop multiplayer games.If anyone can provide me with links/or name of book which explains how can we develop such an application.
