Hi,

I want to build an EAR file with modules. All EJB modules have been defined
as jar (<packaging>jar</packaging).
What is the best way:

1).
Include those EJB modules in the EAR file using ><jarModule>

or

2).
Change the packaging of all EJB modules to ejb (<packaging>ejb</packaging>)
and then include those EJB modules in the EAR file using <ejbModule>

What are the advantages or disadvantages of each solution?

Thank you for your Help!

I looked at what I did. For my EJB modules I have:

and then I include then In the EAR using a dependency on the EJB module.

The outcome you want is that the EJB module appears as an EJB module in the resulting application.xml file:

If it appears as a java module, the app server might not notice the EJBs it contains.

Hi,

I finally did it as follows:
For my EJB modules I have:

or

(bundle is used for the osgi client).

And then in the EAR I have:

and it works.
In application.xml I have:

But I still don't know if it is a clean solution.
