Every time I start my netbeans 6.5.1, I could find this message
transferring repository index : java.net repository
transferring repository index : netbeans repository
transferring repository index : central repository

any ideas, please?

Under "Tools / Options / Miscellaneous / Maven / Index" you can define how often the Maven-index should be updated.
