Hey guys,
I'm really happy that, today I was able to go through the scwcd 5.0 exam with 84% marks. What my idea about the exam is that it is not that hard.I used the HFSJ and whizlabs to study for the exam and it was more than enough for me. ) Thanks all for helping me.

Even though I'm done with the exam, i need to improve my practical web application development skills. So, please tell me if you have any resources to practice web development, may be sample projects and please share your ideas about improving practical knowledge of web application development.
Thanks!!!

hey himanshu, happy to hear that you cleared scjp 5.0.... HFSJ means Head First Servlets and JSP. It's book written by Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates and Brayan Bashman. Its a really good book for SCWCD. Also, there is another thing call Whizlabs (www.whizlabs.com), which will help you to go through the exam. By the way, please tell me are following a degree?, which country are you from?

Hi himanshu kesarwani,

I too was really new to Servlet and JSP. As mentioned, the Head First Java Servlet and JSP book is really great and a must read. If you need a very very basic beginner book read Murach's Java Servlets and JSP, 2nd edition. It has very easy step by step instructions but it is very light on content and will not suffice as the sole study aid for the SCWCD exam. I read the Murach book first and then the HFJS book and it really helped me understand the concepts.
