If I want to compress "my documents" to my documents.zip. What happens if I have in zip files already in this folder?

It works fine. The file won't get compressed any further, of course.

Wrong ! The zip file will explode and your hard disk will crash with a screech. Only WD40 can stop the screeching.

I find turtle wax also works. Especially if you apply it beforehand as a preventative measure. Better safe than sorry, after all...

You can prevent the hard disk from exploding by applying external pressure to counter the pressure-build up in the recursive zip files. Putting a stack of heavy books on top the case works to some extent (about 5 stone) but the best thing to do is submerse it in non-conducting fluid like vegetable oil to a depth of 30 feet or more.

Never zip a zip file otherwise you will have to unzip it twice.

Nikos, you're never going to get anywhere with computers if don't adopt a "try it and see what happens" approach. As my old Apple II+ manual said, you aren't going to damage the computer just by typing on the keyboard, unless you type on it with a hammer.

That's because you're too nice to it.
Do as bosses do, threaten to fire it (putting a flamethrower within sight of it helps) or cut its vacation allowance.
Whipping also helps, shouting can be effective at times.
