Hi,

Can anyone please let me know any pointers/docs or any other reference for efficient way of java coding i.e. best practices for coding.

Go through the Ranch and find the chicken coop and the cattle drive.
Chicken Coop is code style suggestions; I personally think they are too strict, but you will get better coding by following them.
The exercises in the Cattle Ranch are to help develop good style.
We shall tell you if we think the code you quote is bad style.
