Hello to all,

Please move the thread to suitable place because I don't know if I placed it in right thread. So, here I go..

I need to develop an application in Java which provides remote desktop access for all types of operating systems. This will be just like what microsoft provides with its "Remote Desktop Connection". There will also be some sort of enhancements in the application like the user should be able to connect remotely through a web browser.

My question is how should I approach the whole idea and what do I need to study for this. Also I searched for any API in Java that provides the implementation of RDP protocol.

Please suggest me an answer.

Thanks
Girish

I'd simply use VNC, which is already available for most operating systems.

If you really want to develop something yourself, TightVNC is open source so you can download that and see how they've done it.

Try Robot class in java.
