Dear All,

I have an application that uploads images to sun solaris server using SMB.

I can upload and delete images easily but i still have no idea how to view this file.

I have a link "view image" but i can't access the file because it needs authentication (username and password).

can anyone help me doing this please?

NOTE:- im using JSF framework in my development.

Thank a lot in advance

Browsers don't understand SMB (and I doubt you'd want to make the password available to the web users), so you need to find a way to access the image via HTTP. Maybe the server's image directory can be a shared directory that's mapped to a directory in the web server's public space.

Thanks a lot Ulf Dittmer for reply,

actually I think that i can make it by allowing the user to download the image.

Do anyone have any idea for this issue?

I need a solution ASAP
