And while I can boast that I never have a Bad Hair Day, I do have to admit occasionally being afflicted with Bike Beard.

Also, be aware that I'm not the only staffer who sports the smooth scalp -- I have some competition!

I still have the comb-over, so not much competition there. A few years ago I thought I might get rid of it, but my wife and daughter told me not to. Since they have to look at it and I don't, I took their advice. But I still have a sensitive rain detector up there... one drop and I can tell it's raining.

I'm returning to a shaved head this weekend, after having worn hair for the cooler months.

Paul -- didn't they tell you that JavaRanch requires a minimum number of smooth-scalped staffers at all times to keep the place running, um, smoothly? Come on and shave! It's your turn!

If it is not obvious, Danielle and I are wearing matching Halloween costumes. The big plastic pot contains a large number of tiny chocolate bars!

I think EFH wins the award for "Most Delightful Staff Photo" with that one. It always brings a smile to my face.

If you've read Head First JSP and Servlet, you might have actually seen him; It has a picture of him, if I remember correctly. I guess he is photogenic enough to pass as a book model!

True.

His art link in the signature has a sketch of him; I like that one too.

There are two sketches of him one in which he looks like business tycoon and another where he looks like a nuclear scientist.
Which one are you talking of?

Is this the mad scientist one?

I don't think I have any where I look like businesslike, I'm not that creative

I know you deliberately mixed them up. Scientists need to "look" clever.

And an artist without creativity? You mean to say sea without water
