Hi,

I downloaded the download bundle from garnerpress.com...It says the bundle should be deployed as is into the web-apps directory o tomcat...I first need to install JSTL 1.1....where are those files located in tomcat??

I obviously need to unzip the download bundle into a folder which will be the name of the web-app??

Well if it is a packaged WAR file, then you just need to put it in the web-apps folder of tomcat. It must be already having the JSTL jars. If this is not the case, then you'll need to build the WAR file using any IDE or any build scripts or manually using JAR command.

You'll not need to create web-apps folder for your application. It is a folder in the tomcat installation where all the deployed web applications reside...

Ah,I was actually very confused here...I was reading the JSTL instructions instead of the download bundle instructions!!The download bundle was just a normal web-app...not a JAR or WAR or anything.Hopefully will get the JSTL tags working now.I didn't realise that the WAR's need to be unzipped...
