Hi All

I managed to clear this cert today ;) Just for other students benefit, some info on the preparation:

Head First Servlets & JSP, Second Edition - great book, highly recommended

Enthuware JWebPlus mock is a good investment as well (http://www.enthuware.com/jwebplus/index.html)

Whizlabs mocks are a waste of time IMHO, (brief and icomplete answers, kind of feels like an unfinished/rushed-out product)

I would also recommend checking with the specs while doing the mocks, helps a lot.

Congrats on clearing the exam...

Can you tell me any questions you remember from the exam? I'm taking the exam shortly in next coming days.

Thanks...

the questions I got seemed to be sorted by topic so it started with session management, jsps, jstl, custom tags, security, etc., and patterns at the very end

it's kind of hard to really recall the exact questions - the patterns were an easy win, extremely easy questions, read the chapter from the HeadFirst book twice
and you'll be sorted, same with security - moderately hard questions, rest of the stuff, well, similar to what you get in JWebPlus really

study & best of luck ;)

hi,

i cannot help myself from posting after going thru the above post.

First thing first - Congrats Lucas for a brilliant show and your tips for the other aspirants.
and the below post is for those who are keen in getting the "real" questions.

one of the things that should be kept in mind is that the certification exams are meant to test the knowledge of the subject. No one forces anyone to take the exam or to appear it in some specified period of time. so the whole effort in knowing the "real" question seems to be a bit absurd and futile.
Anyone writing the exam should be crystal clear - you should be giving the exam only when you feel like you can else study and practice hard.

Don't mess with the clarity of the objective of the certification exams by asking such "real" questions.
