Hello Friends,

We are planning to develop a web service provider app using Axis 1.4.

I would like to know how the client requests are handled by the Axis.

message style to be used is Document\literal.

Will Axis creates a new thread to handle the each request? (something like struts)

Please provide some info on this.

AXIS does not create a stand-alone server - it creates an application hosted by an HTTP server such as Tomcat.

Therefore, managing request Threads is handled by the server, Tomcat has a Thread pool for request threads.

Incidently, there are two distinct versions of Axis still in use, the original and Axis 2 - each has its own versioning number - so confusing.
